An Active Weekend

Well, it’s finally here.

This weekend will be quite active, or tomorrow morning will be at the very least. After months of anticipation, it’s time for the Woodlake Sprint Triathlon. I’ll get a race report up as soon as possible next week.

Other than that, we have a wedding Saturday night and plan on repainting the inside of the house Sunday and Monday. Look for sore arms and shoulders come Tuesday.

Have a great weekend!

An Active Weekend

Once again, it’s not looking like it is going to be a super active weekend for me.  Patrick and I have a graduation party to go to in his hometown (oh, did I mention my husband is a doctor now?).

On Sunday we are heading down to the beach in South Carolina for a week to relax before things really pick up for us this summer.  I do plan on getting in some ocean swims in my spiffy new Xterra wetsuit.  My first triathlon is next Saturday!  Am I prepared?  NO!  Am I excited?  Heck yes!

An Active Weekend

Not much to report on for this upcoming weekend.  Patrick is graduating from Vet School on Saturday so we are going to be busy celebrating!

Check in Monday or Tuesday on my personal blog to hear all about it!

Have a good one 🙂

TGIF!  Anybody else super ready for the weekend?

This weekend, I plan on being pretty lazy to be honest.  Oh, except for Sunday afternoon when I run my very first race!

I’m so excited for the Second Empire 5k!  Look for a race report early next week.

Happy weekend everyone!

An Active Weekend

This weekend looks to be a bit rainy, so no mountain biking for us.  Whatever shall we do with ourselves?

  • Swim swim swim!
  • Run (when the sun is out)!
  • Clean this house!

Is your weekend equally packed with fun?

An Active Weekend

Happy Friday, friends.  Anyone have plans for the weekend?  A long run, or maybe a race?  There are only 3 weeks left until my first 5k, I can’t wait!

For this weekend I plan to:

  • Ride a couple of hours at Lake Shelley in Raleigh
  • Finish C25k Week 4
  • Walk the dogs
  • Paint a few rooms in the house and clean out the attic
Lake Shelley Boardwalk

I forsee a very tired Megan come Sunday night!

An Active Weekend

My main plains to be active over this weekend include finishing week 3 of C25k on Friday and going kayaking in the river by my parents house on Saturday.

We will be much less extreme.

Oh, and eating lots of chocolate on Sunday.

Happy Easter everyone!

An Active Weekend

This weekend I plan to:

  • Mountain bike at Lake Crabtree with Patrick
  • finish week 2 of C25K
  • take the dogs for long walks

Nothing too out of the ordinary, lots of other “non-active” things in the works though!

Have a happy, safe and active weekend!

Couch to 5k Check-in: Week 1

Alrighty then, week 1 of C25k is finished!  This week consisted of a 5 minute warm up walk and then eight intervals of 60 seconds running followed by 90 seconds of walking, ending with a5 minute cool down walk.

Day 1 felt good, I was just so happy to move!

Day 2 was much harder, I could feel day 1 catching up to me.

Day 3 I was feeling back in the saddle, pushing myself to pick up the pace a bit and finish strong.

Now I’m ready for week 2 to get going.  I haven’t looked to see how long the run intervals are yet but I’m feeling pretty confident.  8 more weeks to go!
